Liberty Simmons:
I chose AMU because of the affordability, the flexibility, and their focus on national security, law enforcement, and the military.
I heard about AMU through a friend of mine who was a veteran, and I was looking at what options were out there in terms of furthering my education.
At the time, I was also a full-time television reporter, and I needed a school that would allow me to work full-time but still further my education on my schedule.
I was only able to do that because of the flexibility that AMU offers.
For my Capstone, I created a communication plan that focused on how we can combat disinformation. That research is what I use to support my work as a Public Affairs Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve, as well as in my journalism—to tell stories accurately.
I’m Liberty Simmons, and I’m an AMU graduate.
