Learn About Max

BS in Information Systems Security | School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math

AMU alumnus Max Aulakh is an Air Force veteran and entrepreneur who founded his own cybersecurity firm, now known as Ignyte Assurance Platform.

Max credits much of his success to his education at AMU. This cybersecurity expert graduated with an associate in computer science in 2008.

Max’s Ignyte Assurance Platform (the company and software) won a cybersecurity excellence award, NIG and Air Force Research Labs grants. The company is working on new projects to benefit the cybersecurity community.

Max and his team launched a second endeavor—the Ignyte Institute. With the ever-changing landscape in cybersecurity, revised regulations, and emerging standards, he is using his expertise to build greater awareness through education.

How He Did it

High School

Max left high school and immediately joined the military as a security specialist.

Getting Started

His colleague recommended AMU and literally sat him down in front of a computer.

Flexibility

Max was deployed. While there were timelines to hit, Max benefited from the flexibility AMU offered.
What made AMU different is that they got me to trust them, and the idea was that in the future things would work out because I trust this university. That has helped me shape my career after the military completely.
