Submit the Application for Admission
If you have not done so already, complete the Admissions Application. This link can be found in the header of most pages on the website.
Complete the Acknowledgement of Student Rights and Responsibilities
Hey, you’re military. If anything, you know how to respect rules. But please read over the University’s policies and procedures, accept the University’s agreement to handle disputes through arbitration, and review the Veteran Student Acknowledgment information.
Verify Your Identity
We believe you are who you say you are. But still, we request a copy of the Joint Services Transcript, on your behalf, in lieu of requiring a photo ID. Air Force applicants are required to submit a valid government-issued photo ID to [email protected] or an official CCAF transcript.
Tour the Ecampus
Select the down arrow beside your name in the top banner of the ecampus and click Edit Profile to review and confirm that your personal information is correct. While you’re there, get familiar with the various areas of the ecampus. It’s no military base, but we think it’s still pretty cool.
Receive Educational/Benefit Counseling
Your admissions representative will brief you on education benefits, funding, and University policies. Because serving those who serve is our number one goal.
Begin the Transfer Credit Application
This starts the process of evaluating your prior college, military and/or professional credits. For students with military service, we initiate a transfer credit application on your behalf. Once all documentation is received the process can take 2-3 weeks to review prior college, military and/or professional credit.
Determine Payment Options
Your will and resolve has never broken in the military. And your bank will never break at AMU. We accept several forms of payment such as Military Tuition Assistance, Veterans Benefits, Federal Student Aid, Self-Payment, and more. Details can be found within your ecampus and are also located on our website.
Register for Classes
Click Register Now within the top banner of the ecampus and follow the prompts until you receive a confirmation number or the course shows as registered in your Academic Plan.
Review Books/Course Materials
Can you say, NO COST books? Ebooks and/or books are provided to all credit-seeking undergraduate students at no cost, thanks to the University’s undergraduate book grant. Ebooks may be in the classroom or online library. Some programs will have additional course material costs not covered by this grant. The materials needed can be viewed within the Academic Plan. Simply click on the course title and select the Course Materials block under the course’s description to see what materials are needed.

Please note that our Freedom Grant also provides most course materials at no cost for master’s-level courses to active-duty servicemembers, their spouse/dependents, National Guard members, and Reservists.
