Open Source Intelligence (OSINT)

The field encompasses a range of typical career paths across government, the military, and the private sector, though placement depends on an individual's background and experiences.

Common roles may include intelligence analysts, who typically integrate information from multiple disciplines to assess threats; counterintelligence analysts, who may help identify and address insider threats and adversary activity; and security or threat analysts, who are typically involved in evaluating risks to people, facilities, and operations.

Many positions also require specialized training and a security clearance, which typically involves a background investigation and can take time to complete. Individuals interested in the field may pursue academic study in areas such as intelligence, national security, homeland security, or related disciplines.
