If you’re transferring to AMU with an AA or AS, you may have already fulfilled our 30-credit general education requirement. We award up to 90 credits for previous academic coursework, military training, and work experience. AMU also evaluates and applies transfer credit at no cost.

We Support Military Families

AMU's Freedom Grant® covers tuition above the military TA cap of $250 per credit hour for all undergraduate and master's-level programs. The grant is available to all U.S. active-duty servicemembers, National Guard members, and Reservists.

Military spouses/dependents also receive a tuition grant. After the grant is applied, undergraduate and master's-level tuition is $250/credit hour.

To further minimize education costs, AMU also offers these benefits:

  • $0 ebook costs for all  master's-level courses for those eligible for the Freedom Grant and/or military tuition grant (all undergraduate and doctoral students also receive no-cost ebooks)
  • $0 technology fee for active-duty military servicemembers, National Guard members, and Reserve personnel

The grant is applied automatically for those who are eligible. Tuition grants cannot be combined and only one tuition grant can be applied per course registration.
