SpouseWorks Scholarship

The SpouseWorks Scholarship was created to help spouses pursue higher education. The scholarship provides eligible spouses with up to $4,000.00 of financial assistance for qualified programs.

At AMU/APU, the SpouseWorks Scholarship is available to Spouses of active duty, National Guard and reserve component members, and will cover tuition costs for an associate’s degree.

  1. Visit the SpouseWorks portal to register for the program.
  2. Apply for admission and select SpouseWorks in the Affiliations and Memberships drop-down menu in the Complete your Profile Section. 
  3. Inform your admissions representative that you intend to use SpouseWorks.
  4. Complete steps for admission and transfer credit (if applicable).
  5. Register for the approved SpouseWorks courses - Selecting Employee Voucher as your method of payment and enter the employer name and address:

    Enter the EIN number: 111111111
  6. Request your Scholarship Education and Training Plan from MyCAA@apus.edu once your transfer credit evaluation has posted to your academic plan and course registration(s) have been placed.

    Please note: If your name appears differently in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) from what your AMU/APU account reflects, you must update your name with AMU/APU. You can complete this by emailing recordupdates@apus.edu. Once this is complete, please email mycaa@apus.edu with your full name and the answers to your security questions on file to request your Scholarship Education and Training Plan.
  7. Upload your approved plan into your SpouseWorks portal.
  8. Log into the SpouseWorks portal, print out a copy of your confirmed Financial Assistance (FA) award, and upload this in your ecampus or email it to ta@apus.edu.
